Zakia

About

Why Zakia exists

Zakia publishes well-researched, authentic Islamic guidance grounded in the Qur'an, authentic Hadith, and recognized classical and contemporary scholarship. The aim is depth and accuracy, not general commentary.

Our methodology

Every published article is expected to cite its sources: Qur'anic ayat by surah and ayah number, Hadith by collection, number, and grading, and scholarly works by author, title, and edition where relevant. These citations appear in a “Sources” section at the end of each article.

Draft articles — including those assisted by AI research tools — are reviewed by a human editor before publication. No Qur'anic or Hadith citation is published without being manually verified against a primary source. Where a claim could not yet be verified, it is not published.

Contributors

Articles are written by a small number of vetted contributors and authors. Each author's published work is listed on their author page, alongside a short biography.
